Dear Aspirant,
First of all, you must have to be consistent with your preparation. Do not procrastinate your work. The main difference between rankers and nonrankers is the consistency. Most of the non-rankers are not consistent in their preparation which then leads to bad rank.
If you have 6 months then it might be difficult for you to get a good rank if your basics are not good, however, if they are then all you have to be is consistent.
Also, never let go of your basics. Almost 40% of the exam is directly from the basics.
Complete your basics through NCERT books and if you have done that already then go for advanced books like Kasparov, HC Verma, etc.
If possible try to get coaching material of some institutes like ALLEN, RESONANCE, etc. All of them have pretty good material.
Try to solve as many questions as possible. prepare for 6-8 hrs per day at least and remember never let go of consistency.
