If you are enquiring about the minimum graduation percentage required for taking admission in Jamia Milia Islamia under mass communication, convergent journalism, visual communication or broadcast technology, then according to the eligibility criteria set by the university, the candidates should maintain at least 50% marks in aggregate in the graduation.

The intake capacity and eligibility criteria for different programs covered under JMI Mass Communication Entrance Exam 2019 is given below:

Masters in Convergent Journalism

• Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks in aggregate
• 20 seats

Masters in Mass Communication     

• Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks in aggregate
• 50 seats

Masters in Visual Effects and Animation

• Graduation in any discipline (10+2+3) with not less than 50% marks in aggregate
• Candidates will have to be well versed with Windows and should know how to use Adobe Photoshop/Adobe Illustrator

Post Graduate Diploma in Still Photography and Visual Communication

• Graduation in any discipline (10+2+3) with not less than 50% marks in aggregate
  
• 20 seats
  

Post Graduate Diploma in Broadcast Technology

• Candidate must have studied Physics and Maths at senior secondary (10+2)level
• Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, BCA with at least 50 % marks in aggregate
• 20 seats
  

JMI Mass Communication Entrance Exam is scheduled to be conducted in May. The registration window will open in March while the candidates would be able to download their admit cards in the month of April. 



The candidates who will be able to clear the entrance exam will be called in for the next rounds which will be a combination of group discussion, personal interview and portfolio. Once a candidate qualifies each and every round, he/she, after successful verification of the documents, will be able to secure a seat in Jamia Milia Islamia university.
