To be a game designer you will have to go for engineering in computer science or information technology or either if you don't want to do engineering then you can do BCA and then after MCA .To design a game you must know programming languages and coding so that you can design game.The very beginning is C/C++.You can start learning it from 12th as well depends on interest.
