If you want to work for Railwaya you should he appearing for UPSC exams for becoming IRS officer also known as Indian raikway officer.
The career path is stretched although, but has very good stable career, you can scale heights upto Raikway Minister that is Cabinet position for Government of India which is prestigious and oride of Honour.
