In order to become an organic chemist, you should at least have a bachelor’s degree in chemistry so that you can get entry-level jobs such as research assistant. If you are looking for a career in areas such environment, pharmaceutical or agriculture you need to have a Master’s Degree. If you are interested in doing research and development, then you should your Ph.D. in organic chemistry.
