Hello Bhavik!

If you are really looking to be software engineer and not just an IT professional or programmer then you can opt for BE/B.Tech degree in Computer science/software engineering/software systems. And of course from a reputed institute. For that you need to focus on your 12th class subjects especially Mathematics.

Well you can follow the following steps!

  1. Opt for Engineering after 12th (Science Stream with PCM), choose Computer Science branch. Even I.T will do. It's a 4 year course (degree). You can enroll for diploma (3 years) and since you have done 12th you will directly get admission in 2nd year.
  2. Opt for BSc I.T/BSc CA/BCA. All of them are 3 Years course. Topics like Java, Linux, Software Testing are in syllabus.
  3. Enroll for normal graduation degree (I'll prefer BMS), and enroll for Software Engineering course from private class. There are many private institutes with this course. Check review of class and their placement before joining class.

Hope this was helpful!
