Generally there is no major difference between MBA and PGDM. Both the program having 2 years academic curriculam.  Master in Business Administration(MBA) is a degree course offered by universities like private and government and college affilated by university. Also Pst Graduate Deploma in Management(PGDM) is a deploma programme offered by colleges that are recognised by government of india i,e AICTE. Majorly all institute having both MBA and PGDM program like IIM's. 

If you are looking for economis pointof view fees of MBA is very less as compared to PGDM almost half. 

In terms of syllabus MBA having university based fixed syllabus no more changes but here having PGDM is advantage because they palnned their syllabus as per industry standard and requirement. Their curriculam is according to latest developement in industry sector. PGDM lets you specialize in various fields.

Yes MBA & PGDM both Are different.

MBA- MBA is always University affilate programme in which Cource and curriculam is decide by Umbrella University While in PGDM the college has authority to change their Subjects and Curriculam according to Industry demand.

2nd thing is There are Good Industry exposer in PGDM because most of the colleges Charged Higher fees in PGDM then MBA so Its their reaponsibility to provide proper exposser..But each coin Has 2 sides.

After PGDM you can not apply for Phd programme..While after MBA Hou van do that..

If you want To Go To Foreign on the basis of This degree then After PGDM you will not Get Master Degree points in Visa procedure..

So In the end The conclusion is that If you want to stay in india & Make your career in Corporate world Then PGDM is good in Decent College..else MBA is evergreen.
