In first year of engineering, the subjects are not specially related to any branch whereas it is more likely general engineerng or applied sciences. You will be taught about Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Drawing, Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Physics etc. The list of the subjects depend upon your college. There will not be any core subjects as if in first year. You will be taught about your core subjects related to your branch from 3rd Semester.

In first year you will lean  computer programming , and other common subjects like  applied physics , chemistry , graphics, bee, English , mathematics , introduction of mechanics so these are the subjects for first year in computer science engineering . In first year for every branch it all common subjects.
