JEE Main 2017 Admit Card- Don’t forget the admit card as you won’t be allowed entry to the exam without it. During the exam, you will need to show the invigilator the JEE Main Admit card so that your identity is ascertained. Check whether the copy is in good condition. Always carry 2 copies so that you have a backup in case one is torn or is missing.

Photo Identity Proof- It is better to carry the Aadhaar Card in case you are asked for a photo ID. If you don’t have one, then carry any valid Photo ID along with the admit card.

Disability Certificate – Candidates falling under this category must carry the PwD certificate in the prescribed format as given in the JEE Main Brochure under the Appendix 9. The disability certificate has to be issued by a recognized authority. Candidates who have 40% disability will be required either to submit a request for scribe or reader or opt to choose their own scribe

Clipboard- This is for the offline exam candidates only. Carry a clean one with no marks or scribbling on it that may amount to cheating and can get you debarred from the exam. Since the desks provided at your exam centre may not be convenient and you don’t want to damage your answer sheet; it’s best to carry a clip board to counter this.

What to carry if you are appearing for JEE Main Paper 2

Since the drawing paper will require sketching and drawing by you, you can carry the following materials

  1. A geometry box

  2. Eraser

  3. Pencils

  4. Colour pencils

  5. Clipboard

  6. Colour pencils or crayons

All the very best and good luck.

Hello Saptarshi,

The things to be carried and not to be carried are specifically given at the back of the admit card.

Still, I would like to suggest you a few things to be carried along:-

  1. Admit Card most important
  2. Extra Pen/Pencil
  3. Watch
  4. Water Bottle
  5. Enough money so that you can reach the examination centre in time even if something goes wrong!                                                                                                                                                               I think that's more than enough! Stay calm! And best of luck! :)
