In my personal opinion you should go with communication system in top 5 NITs

It depends upon your interest like if you like to make your career in the field of chip designing,more likely hardware then you can go with VLSI

But as you know very well the scope of chip designing in India is very less because the companies are very less of chip designing in India

So by considering these points in mind of you go with communication system then you will have high chances of placements and better career growth
