In india, an 8th grade student's fee can vary somewhere from around 40,000 to 85,000 annually. In some high-end private schools this amount can reach upto 2lacs per year.

Variation of fee generally depends on the type of school and the location of school. High-end private schools generally have more fee as compared to normal public schools. Similarly if a school is present in a metro city, it generally offers high fee as compared to some school present in a small town.

Fee breakdown is generally based on several aspects like academic fee, examination fee, transportation fee, and othe miscellaneous charges.

In government schools, the admission fee is usually very low or even free (sometimes a few hundred rupees). In private schools, one-time admission fees can range from 20,000 to 70,000 or more. Additional recurring annual fees, books, uniforms and other charges will apply on top of the admission fee.
