Hey Manu! Dual Government was a system introduced by Robert Clive in Bengal between 1765 to 1772. In this system, the East India Company took the responsibility of revenue collection (Diwani), while the Nawab of Bengal handled law, order and administration (Nizamat). In reality, the British enjoyed the power because they controlled the finances, while the Nawab only had nominal authority.
