If you have already passed class 12 and now want to give an exam for one more subject through NIOS, you can do it by taking part admission.

You can apply for this by writing an application to your NIOS regional centre. Mention your enrollment number and the new subject you want to add. You must still be within your 5-year admission period from your first registration with NIOS. You can take up to 7 subjects in total.

Once your subject is added, you can appear for the exam in the next public exam session. NIOS conducts public exams two times a year—in April–May and in October–November. If you apply now, you will most likely be able to appear in the October–November 2025 exams.

If you face any issue while filling the form, like it shows fees pending or previous admission, you should contact your regional centre or NIOS helpline. They will help clear the problem.
