The reservation for EWS will be applicable for NEET-UG 2019. The qualifying percentile for EWS category is 50 percentile and hence there is no need to provide separate merit list for EWS category. The candidates of EWS category may indicate their category at the time of registration for counseling. EWS quota will be provided against the increased seats in medical colleges.

From academic year 2019-20, there is a proposal of 10% reservation quota for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) among General Category candidates in medical colleges (admissions on the basis of NEET-UG).
