See the NEET got delayed for the Covid Waves. Now if we observe the pattern then there is a gap of about 3-4 months between two waves. Now if the 3rd wave starts from October as it is expected, then from previous experience it may go for 2 month i.e., From january the wave load will decrease and as a result we will get a 3-4 months gap from February. So in May,2022 there is some possibilities. The probability density increases more as previously the vaccinated population wasn't very large. But now a lot of people got vaccinate so it may occur that the intensity of the wave can fluctuate which is a good sign. As a result I would recommend you to target May,2022 as the exam date in order to be safe.
