Supplementary cet ranking suggests that a separate rank list is provided for those students who have to give a supplementary paper in a subject or two in their intermediate when they have passed the entrance test.

As per the provisions made by AICTE and NCVT, you can try for CET, PMT and AIEEE. If you qualify, you'll be given provisional admission by any institute in India after an undertaking that you'll qualify the next compartmental or supplementary exam held thereto. If you fail to qualify the admission will stand canceled without any fee being refunded.
For example let us say that there is a somewhat similar case in  a  college. There is a candidate who had compartmental in physics. He scored good in AIEEE and sought admission with the college.They admitted him provisionally. Unfortunately, the boy could not clear his paper in the immediate supplementary exam and they had to ask him to quit. He knocked the legal door for a refund and was disappointed by the verdict ruling out any refund.
