As per the CBSE rules, if the candidate has qualified all the main subjects' exam, then the aggregate percentage is calculated by taking the average of marks scored in the main subjects. But if the candidate could not clear one of the main subjects, then instead of using the marks in the failed subject, his/ her additional subject' marks are taken into consideration while calculating aggregate percentage.
