The admission process for most of the  colleges starts from the month of May-June

And since you want to be an economics major you can apply to the colleges listed below:

1)Lady shree Ram DU, Nirf-2

2)Loyola chennai Nirf-3

3)Mithibai, Mumbai Nirf-5

4)St. Xavier's College Mumbai Nirf-4

If you are applying for the college's mentioned above then your academics in 12th boards really matters. You need to do exceptionally well in your boards in order to secure a seat in any one the above mentioned colleges.

If you want to apply through University entrances then you can apply for the following colleges:

1)Christ Bangalore- it ranked third among the private institutes. You need to sit for the CUET.

2)BHU ( Banaras Hindu University) is a renowned college where you can apply by appearing in BHU-UET

3) Symbiosis college, Pune- the university ranked 20th among the other private institutes. For getting admission in symbiosis you need to sit for SET followed with a written ability test and a personal interview round.
