Hello student now CPT is replaced with Foundation, CA course is devided into four parts as mentioned below -

1)Foundation

2)Intermediate

3)Articleship

4)Final

If you're willing to start preparing for foundation programme you can start preparation for at least 6month before the examination, so if you're preparing for MAY 2021 attempt them you can join classes in Nov 2020.

As coaching institutes are not open yet and no official notification released when coaching will resume. You can purchase pendrive classes and start preparing for foundation examination from your home.

Hello there,

Common Proficiency Test (cpt) is the entrance exam conducted by ICIA for the entry into the CA course. CPT will only test your basic understanding, if you are a commerce student then you will be familiar with most of the subjects. And exam will be in MCQs format.

CPT is not very difficult so you can clear it with 2-3 months of preparation. It depends on your preparation. You should start preparing just after 12th exams.
