Anna University will be conducting the Tamil Nadu Common Admissions (TANCA) 2018 for the candidates who are seeking admissions to M.Tech/M.E programmes offered by the engineering colleges/institutions in the state. To apply for TANCA 2018, candidates need to qualify TANCET 2018 or GATE. The application form of TANCA 2018 will be available tentatively from the fourth week of July to first week of August in online mode. Candidates who will qualify GATE 2018 will also require to submit TANCA 2018 application form. However, GATE qualified candidates need not to appear in TANCET. While GATE qualified candidates of Life Sciences paper will have to appear and qualify the entrance test. Based on the merit list of TANCA 2018, counselling and seat allotment will be held for all applicants who have qualified the entrance exam or GATE. The admission authority will release the merit list tentatively in the month of August in online mode. Under TANCA, there are currently more than 300 participating engineering institutes.
