When there is state quota in AIIMS, why are they asking for domicile state? Does it affect the admission in any manner?

Hii 

There is no state quota in AIIMS they only provide resevation based on caste i.e ST ,SC, OBC and general. The purpose of asking the state of domicile in the application is to ensure the identity of the applicant and to make sure that the applicant can easily attend the exam in his prefered city. It does not affect the admission in any manner.
