BAMCEF was founded in 1971 by Kanshi Ram, D. K. Khaparde, and Dina Bhana. It was given the new name BAMCEF at a conference in Delhi in 1978. On December 6, 1978, BAMCEF was formally established as an independent, non-political organization.
