To find a file you downloaded, use the following steps:

Desktop Computers (Windows, macOS, Linux)

Default Download Folder:

Most files get saved in the "Downloads" folder. Using File Explorer, navigate down to the Downloads folder.

By default, this is the download location on an Apple macOS computer. The "Downloads" folder can be found in your user directory.

Browser-Specific Settings:

Some browsers allow you to change the default download location. Do your best to search through your browser's settings to see if you change it.

Mobile Devices (Android, iOS):

File Manager App:

Open the "File Manager" app (or a similar app) on your device.

Search for a folder labeled "Downloads."

Browser App:

Review the download history or look at the browser settings to find where you saved the PDF.

Specific to Ebooks from Online Libraries and Platforms:

Overdrive: Downloads from Overdrive may download to your computer's download folder by default or even within the Overdrive app.

Amazon Kindle: Kindle books are generally located within the Kindle app or on your Kindle device

Google Play Books: Books downloaded from Google Play Books will be in the Google Play Books app.

Use search on your device: Search for keywords in the title or author of the PDF.

Check if it is synced to cloud storage: If you can sync Google Drive, or Dropbox, then you might find the PDF there.

Look in your browser's download history: Most browsers keep some sort of record of files you have downloaded recently.

Contact the service provider: If you downloaded the PDF on a certain website, or service, contact their customer service.

These steps will lead you to find your downloaded PDF.
