The GATE application fee for unreserved applicants is INR 1800 in 2024. Females, SC/ST candidates, and the GATE fee INR 900.
In India, entrance to M. Tech programmes does not require GATE. If you have not attempted GATE, you can still study overseas or apply for M. Tech programmes at private universities in the nation.

In the NIRF rating for 2023, IIT Madras stays at the top. IIT Roorkee has moved up the rankings, moving from number 6 in 2022 to rank 5 in 2023. The lowest tuition, IIT Madras, is INR 20,000. The best placement package, from INR 11 LPA to INR 30 LPA, is provided by IIT Madras.
