Both fields of engineering are good.If you want to work in software company then both the streams graduate can work in software industry.In software engineering (IT) the starting package can be handsome but in electronics it is quite hard.Both the fields are good because they can work for same industry as we all know software industry growing very rapidly.  U will get better salary in software engineering in starting..But after all totally depends on your caliber and skills
