Bachelor of engineering:B.E is considered as knowledge oriented course.More emphasis  is laid on theory and focusese on strong fundamentals.Internships and industrial visits are essential part of curriculum.Generally universities offering other degree  like science arts commerce along with engineering named their engineering degree as B.E.

B.TECH:B.TECH is skilled oriented course. More emphasis is laid on practical applications rather then theoritical aspects.Internships and industrial visits are mandatory part of curriculum.Generraly institutes offering only engineering studies name their degree  btech.

  • AICTE has clarified that it does not consider the two degrees as different and grants equal recognition for both.
  • Both degrees have same scope and future.
  • If there is recruitment  for B.E degree holder then B.TECH degree holder are also eligible to apply and vice versa.

No difference

Here is what I copied from

What is the difference between BE and B.Tech or ME and M.Tech - All About Education

Another common question among engineering students and usually a question of argument between friends is what is the difference between B.Tech and BE, which is better or have better scope. Similarly for M.Tech too, what is the difference between M.Tech and ME. I searched for it and found many forums are filled with non satisfying replies. I will present a most reasonable and valid difference between these two.

First please note that there is no difference between these degrees in terms of value and scope. BE and B.Tech have similar scope and future and on the same time ME and M.Tech have same scope future.

Now let’s dig the question little deep. If BE and B.Tech or ME and M.Tech have same value and scope why the names are different.

Right after independence of India we have two types of universities, one that offers degrees in many fields like Sciences, Arts, Education and Engineering too, and the second set of universities (were named as institutes) offer only degrees in engineering. Universities those offer other degrees along with engineering named their engineering degree as BE (Bachelor of Engineering) and Institute constituted for only Engineering studies named their degree as B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology).

Now as AICTE approve courses most of the courses are same and identical for BE and B.Tech. The universities those offering BE when started new courses named them to B.Tech too.

No degree, BE or B.Tech and ME or M.Tech is superior other others in terms of theory or experiment. BE and B.Tech or ME and M.Tech are same. Both of them are same and have similar scope and future. If there is some notification for BE, B.Tech’s are also eligible to apply and vise versa.

Dear Aspirant,

The B.E. program concentrates more on the theoretical knowledge that is applied to develop innovative equipments and useful technical gadgets in Science and Technology. The students must do a project in the concluding year.

The B Tech course is more of a practical oriented program. This means that this course applies the principles of engineering and technology to modify structures and thereby enhance their quality. This is done by the application of the latest technology available.

HAI RAJU !!

It’s a common doubt for every fresher who wants to study engineering. Both B.E and B.Tech are graduate level programs that offer students an opportunity to pursue a career in engineering.though these might seem similar, they have quite a few differences. These courses have duration of 4 years. They have 8 semesters with 2 each year. The details are as follows:

Bachelor of Engineering (B.E)

The minimum qualification needed by one to opt for this program is a pass in class 10+2. They will then have to attend for the national or state level entrance exam as to get admittance into any college that offers this course. The B.E. program concentrates more on the theoretical knowledge that is applied to develop innovative equipments and useful technical gadgets in Science and Technology. This program is pursued by many and the degree thus obtained can be of use anywhere. As menti
