Well the question is pretty controversial as there will be many opinions regarding this particular topic but according to me having a B.E or B.Tech degree from a good institute certainly don't define that you have good skills and qualities for a job qith good salary.

A person doing b.tech or B.E from a low reputed private college can end up landing a 30 lpa job in a mnc if and only if he had got the skills,qualities and the desire and passion to cope up and beat a student having b.tech from a premier institute like NIT,IIT,BITS etc.

Hardwork is the root to success and its highly possible that institutes do not play any major role in securing jobs.All they do is bring the placement for the students which they have to earn through their own skills and qualities.

But people prefer IIT and NIT than other private engineering institutions because companies with good lpa visit only the campuses of premium IIT and NIT.

However getting an off campus placement through your own urge and desire can land you in one of the top positions with high lpa in a reputed mnc.Wishing you good luck
