If you say genetic engineering you meant to earn BTech degree in genetics. And in India there are very few universities providing B tech in genetic engineering. I think there are a few IITs offering this and SRM UNIVERSITY KATTANKULATHUR CAMPUS also offers this.

To get admission in IITs you will need to clear JEE ADVANCE and for SRM they have there own entrance exam SRMJEEE.

There are several other universities providing BSc in genetics like IISC BANGALORE, but it would not be engineering.

BTech is more valuable than BSc.
