The top 5 government colleges are VJTI, COEP, SPCE, PICT, and Institute of Chemical Technology, Matunga, Mumbai. Now ICT, is a government college, but has branches related to chemical engineering only. It does not have general engineering courses, but courses related to chemistry. Keep in mind, that there are other colleges (private) which are at par with a few of these government colleges, and have a placement ranking even better than some of the government colleges. Keep everything in mind, do your research and then choose the college. All the best!
