to get an admission in nit these are the best reference books for jee mains

they are

ncert of all subjects

h.c,.verma,halliday resnick walker for physics

physical organic and inorganic chemistry by o.p,.tandon

arihant series by maths and r.d.sharma

For chemistry- ncert is enough

For maths- ncert for basics,rd sharma,arihant (3d,integration and differential calculus)

For physics- first ncert then solve hc verma

Math. - first ncert,then rd Sharma objective

This all are more then sufficient for jee mains
