Up-and-comers need to concentrate on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English according to the PESSAT schedule. PES University sets the schedule for the applicant's subjects in the 10+2 level assessment from the CBSE pattern. NCERT is sufficient assuming that you are clear with the ideas. PESSAT is simple in contrast with JEE. Thus, read NCERT completely and allude to earlier year questions too.
