Every branch is best for a B.tech. It all depends on your interest.

If you like to play with codes then go for Computer Science, or opt for Mechanical if you want to make machines your best friend.

Electronics if you love circuits. (Electronics students have the benefit of getting jobs in IT companies).

I will suggest you to choose your branch according to your interest and not just by listning to others.
