Both are equally good departments in engineering and immense number of opportunities are available in the industry for both of them. It completely depends on the the college you are pursuing the course from. But if you go for electronics and instrumentation you may have a lot of opportunities in software sector also where the demand for electrical engineers are a little less. But if you study from a good college both of them will offer you a great career.
