In EEE, students have to study Electrical as well as Electronics. It is the study and application of electrical systems for use in different environments and contains basic electronic courses and more power system.
In ECE, Students study electronics with some part of communication. The subject uses the scientific knowledge of the behaviour and effects of electrons to develop devices, systems, or equipment that uses electricity as part of its driving force. Also it contains basics on electrical machines and more on integrated circuits and communication systems.
In terms of placements, EEE the competition is not very tough and the availability of jobs too are good. Electrical graduates are employed in Electricity Boards/Utility companies responsible for installation, maintenance, operation of power handling equipment and systems. Industries manufacturing large electrical machines and equipment employ engineers in design, production and testing.
In ECE, the scope to land into government jobs is great. An electronics engineer can find a job in Central Government, State Governments and their sponsored corporations, private industries dealing in manufacture, sales and services of electronics consumer goods and appliances. Additionally, electronics engineers are also absorbed into the broadcast industry, research establishments, and defence.
I have explained you scope for both and accordingly you can decide which is good for you.
Good Luck.

Electrical students study about how power flows and they are only responsible for developing the systems or devices which are help ful for controlling the power and which are helpful to convert the electrical energy in to various forms of energy and they also develops the controlsystem equipment and we also study about micro processors and integrated circuits and we are having electives of computer science subjects as well and in most of the institutions communications subjects are also thought for eee as well and we are having slight edge upon you in automobile companies and we are having separate java subject you can also check in Google java for electrical engineering and we can also make cyber physical systems we not only get jobs in powersector we can also get the jobs in electronic companies like ibm, intel, qualcom etc 2,3 subjects can never effect on electrical engineers ability when we talk about the placements it matter of ability and we can also take artificial intelligence and machine learning in mtech apart from other courses your content will gives you the job not your subject and in broad cast industry electrical
engineers are responsible for placing towers and in designing it and they also develop communication equipment which are required they are also responsible for optical fibre lines installation because electrical installation and estimation is the subject which we had studied is used in that and we can also get the opportunities in construction industry also electrical and electronics engineering is a vast field you can learn anything as of your intrest as the matter of job eee is much much a head because we can get the job in every sector in government as well as in private of engineering.
