Hello candidate. Both the branches are better in their own way. Computer Science Engineering (CSE) is a branch of Engineering which deals with programming and is completely software side. You can have many opportunities as the current software position is high. ECE is a branch of Engineering which deals with both Electronics and Communucation. There are many government job opportunities for ECE. It purely depends on your interest to choose which one is best.

Hello student cse is more preferable than ECE as ECE is about electronics and how the different electrical components (Microprocessor, RAM etc) communicate with each other. ... ECE has more scope in government bodies than CSE and the scope of CSE in private sectors is good. The packages for both are good depends on which organisation you get placed in.
After completing CSE, you can expect jobs in many good companies like DELL, Flipkart, Microsoft, Amazon, IBM. You would probably be familiar about the firms which recruit in bulk numbers like the CTS, TCS, Accenture or Infosys. Ending up in any of these firms is not a big deal for CSE students or for ECE students. So job is not at all a problem for CSE students.
