At present, IT seems a much better option to pursue after CSE. Companies dont really differentiate between IT and CSE, provided you have good coding skills and are proficient in technologies like Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Competitive Programming and Software Engineering.

However, if you are interested in a career in Research or plan to go for Postgraduation in future, I believe you may prefer ECE over IT. Electronics is one of the only branches which will perhaps never lose its importance. You have electronics everywhere, be it the Hardware and Semiconductor Industry, the Automotive Industry or the Avionics and Space Sector.
