Getting into government job is not based on the caste you belong to, rather it is more based on the preparation and performance of the candidate in the entrance exam. Also, specified number of seats are allotted to obc and EWS category students which may vary for each exam. Also, the cut off varies for each exam. In few exams the cut off for EWS category student is higher than general category students. so, there is no guarantee of what the cut off is going to be their for any random government exam in general.
