•  Most software engineer positions require a bachelor's degree. So begin by enrolling in a BTech,B.E degree and complete that through Computer engg,IT engg or if you have any other field of desire.Most often, interviewers will ask questions focusing on data structures and algorithms, so the theoretical background provided by traditional computer science degrees best prepares you for this.
• Start programming.Even if you're still in school/college, you can give yourself a huge head start by teching yourself to program.There is no particular langauge that you should start with .It could be anyone of your choice.I'll prefer you to start with C or python as they are good for beginners.
• Study data structure and algorithms.A "data structure" is a certain way of organizing data to make it easier to solve certain problems.
• Our educational systems are often outdated. Textbooks are revised slower than software is updated. Educational institutions provide theoretical concepts and ways of thinking that can be critical to your success. However, what will get you paid is being able to apply the theory to real-world software.
• You can also work as interns while they complete their studies. This can be an excellent way to gain hands-on training and network with potential employers. Look for internship opportunities through job posting websites and networking.
