Both colleges are good however most preferred is KIT. The cutoff for KIT is higher when compared to DKTE if you check the first allotment that was announced recently. If you live there, I would suggest you go to check the colleges and talk to seniors there. Check the placement reports put up before deciding.

KIT's college of engineering, kolhapur is a private college approved by AICTE and accredited by NAAC A and IQAC. It is affiliated to shivaji university, kolhapur. It has a overall rating of 3.6 and placement rating of 3.4 as given by careers360. 

Whereas, DKTE is a private institute approved by AICTE and accredited by NAAC A+. It is also affiliated to shivaji university, kohlapur. It has been given a rating of AAA+ by careers360 ehich means it is good.
