According to NIRF rankings 2019, NIT trichy is ranked above IIT Dhanbad. Obviously NIT Trichy is one of the best engineering institution in India, competiting with some of the top IITs even. The placements are far better at this campus than IIT Dhanbad, the faculties are PHDs in their respective fields, and the facility given by the college is world class.

I would recommend you to NIT Trichy, but yes IIT Dhanbad is no bad. Research more before making a choice.
