Dear aspirant,

There is no specific course as such for being eligible to write the IAS exam. The aspiring candidates should be an Indian citizen, and hold a degree or are in their final year of degree and the age should be 21-32 years for general category,21-35(for OBC,Defence,EWS) and 21-37(SC/ST).

There are some subjects one should have knowledge of:

  • History
  • Geography
  • Civics

  • General science
  • Environmental science

The best course you can take up to clear civil service exams is engineering.

All the best!
