Well though it depends completely on your interest irrespective of good job and salary as there is no major difference between jobs and salaries offered to both cse or IT grads,here are a few points which i would like to highlight in order to give you a better light of things

• CSE always have higher cutoff than IT, and syllabus is almost same of both just IT focuses more on networks and networking whereas the basic subjects like DS,OS, ADA remains the same.
• Very rarely a company would differentiate between the three degrees!
• There is no doubt that maximum jobs in India are in IT section, and seats in IT fills the fastest but these profile's are applicable for both IT and CSE grads 
• In IT its all about Software , in CS it all about Software + Hardware + OS core. So choose the same as per your interest like in software/programing language or in IT infra like network/server/Operating System etc. Domains.

• Basically there is no big difference between CSE and IT as far as study is concerned, it more or less deals with the same syllabus and subjects but one or 2 subjects added or removed...
• Computer Science course is mainly for innovating things which is been studied and to come up with new ideas.
• Information Technology is more of using the technology rather than creating new things.
• B.tech IT is a slightly cut down version of CSE, so CSE is any time better than IT, but CSE is more difficult to get into than IT & a bit tougher too.
