Well see both courses are worth a lot from a good college.

Here is what I can tell you :

Eco hons has a higher cut off than bcom hons.Eco hons is supposedly more difficult than bcom hons. At time eco hons fetches a higher pay, at time equal to bcom. Depends on capability.

Yes eco hons is a notch better than bcom but also depends on wether you want to do a notch more difficult subject.
