Marketing. Finance. Operations. Human Resources. Strategy. They are all good. It depends on where your interest lies. What works for somebody may not work for you. There are good jobs out there in all, provided you are good at what you do. Mediocrity is rewarded in the same coin, whereas brilliance is admired everywhere. Be good at whatever stream you choose, success will become a by-product.

There are different courses offered in MBA like Finance Accounting and Control, Marketing Management, Operations Management, Economics, Humanities and Liberal Arts Management, Quantitative Methods and operations Management, Strategic Management and Organisational Behaviour and Human Resources.

Every course is unique in its own way and has a lot of scope to grow yourself. Every company to run successfully needs employees from every stream who has in-depth knowledge about the stream. So there is no as such stream which is more important than other.

Still currently Finance and Marketing are the two streams which are mostly taken by students and there has also been more vacancies for students in the corporate world.

I will still recommend if you want to do your best then choose the stream in which you are more comfortable rather than going for the one by seeing the market trend. In long term you will be more successful if you choose the stream in which you enjoy studying and working.
