Hi aspirant,

Computer science and engineering is the best in jorhat engineering college. It carries a good placement with good packages.

CSE is good. It is assumed based upon the placements.

In 2017

110+ mechanical guys were there. 2 got Godrej and Boyce (a pool placement was held in Kolkata, i didnt go), 2 got Eveaready industries, 2 got Dalmia cements (I couldnt crack their written tests), 3 guys got OIL (BUT only 1 from general category out of 55 general category guys ) , 5 guys got Emami, 1 guy got Dabur industruies (those placements occured in July after completion of BE final exam). out of more than 110 students(including laterals).



In civil engg, one guy got OIL, 4/5 got Dalmia out off 70+ students(including laterals)



In electrical, 2 guys got OIL, Less than 10 students were placed out of 70+.



In instrumentation, 2/3 were placed out of 30+.



In Cse, guys did have some good placemets.. 1520 were placed out of again 65/70.



So, overall around 40- 50 were placed out of of total of around 330 students. So around 1315% were placed only.



That sums up the placement scenario.



2018, the overall % has remained more or less, the same

Johrat engineering college is very famous for mechanical engineering.

But in my view, the placement percentage is not so good in this College somehow they managed to increase their placement percentage from 20-30% to 50-60%

But this is not so good and infrastructure of thia college is satisfactory..
