Hello Satyam,

Traditionally speaking, women are not considered logical and analytical enough as compared to their male counterparts, to be studying technical courses. The shrewd sociatal gender norms and patriachal mindset has hindered generation of women to make their mark in STEM fields and even today only 26% of females take up engineering as their career. Most engineering colleges are just boys clubs and even the popular technical institutes like the IIT's and NIT's have a very few female students and faculty members but quickly they are implementing ways to bring about more female on board. Thanks to a few women techical colleges in our country, more women are taking up technical courses to study. Some of these are-

1. Cummins College Of Engineering

2. Indira Gandhi Delhi Technological University for Women

3. Mody University

4. Biyani International Institute of Engineering & Technology

5.. Usha Mittal Institute of Technology (UMIT)

Good Luck!
