Each and every branch of engineering has it's own charm. There was a strong belive among students and parents before 2009 that branches like Computer Sc, IT and Tele-communication helps in getting highest paid job which was complety changed after 2009 and everyone started running after Mechanical, Electrical and Civil because of Govt. and PSU jobs.
It's not the branch which gives the scope according to me scope depends on the institution from which you are going to pursue the course.
