No branch is good or bad it depends on your interest. It also depends on the institute you are studying in. Carpet technology is a very lesser known branch and has there is very less competition in this branch.
While CS is the most demanded branch among the engineering aspirants. It has a huge competition for college seats.
Getting a job in CSE is also not that easy but is has a huge market a much number of jobs available than any other branches.
You can even get better jobs in Carpet technology as compared to CS. But it totally depends on current market conditions and the reputation of your college in that particular branch.
