Hello,

SHO ( Station House Officer ) holds the responsibility of Police stations in India. SHO is categorised as an inspector and sub-inspector. As per Indian law, it allows SHO to investigate crimes. However, there is no direct examination or qualification for SHO. It is not a direct post of an officer. It is a promotion post, which means that you'll be first appointed as an Sub Inspector and then after a few years of working as a sub inspector, you'll be promoted to SHO or inspector.

The eligibility is that yoy must be a graduate from a recognised university. You must also be physically fit and healthy.

I hope this helps,

All the best
