In an engineering college if you are opting for core branches and also getting placed in core domain then i would you need all the subjects . But these are the subjects which you would require somewhere or the other in your life because your job would require the base foundation of these jobs.

But if you opting non core branches such as computer science then you would require less application of these subjects specially physics and chemistry . Actually you won't need physics and chemistry. You would only need mathematics for your aptitude strength.
